IMF mission starts working in Belarus


The IMF experts will stay in Belarus until 16 November. The mission will hold consultations under Article IV; it means the mission will carry out an annual review of the national economy that is held virtually in all the International Monetary Fund member states. The mission will study Belarus’ fiscal, credit, taxation and budget policy, structural reforms and the country’s economic plans for the short-term perspective.

The mission is expected to meet with representatives of the Belarusian government, National Bank, Finances Ministry, and Economy Ministry.
