Serbia keen on cooperation with Belarus in construction, transport, tourism

Serbia is interested in extending cooperation with Belarus in construction, transport and tourism, said Director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Milos Jelic at the 4th session of the business council of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on 2 November.

Milos Jelic said that Serbia expects the bilateral trade with Belarus in 2011-2012 to increase five times on the level of 2010.

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce believes it is advisable to set up joint companies operating in agriculture, tractor and car manufacturing. Serbia is also interested in banking cooperation and interaction in Phytosanitary and Veterinary control.

Ambassador of Serbia to Belarus Srecko Djukic believes that Belarus-Serbia cooperation stumbles upon administrative barriers, which should be removed. The governments of the two countries should resolve this problem. He added that Belarus-Serbia trade turnover may total about $100 million by the end of 2010.
