The Ministry of Forestry companies plan to attract more than $200 million of investments in the next five years


Enterprises of the Ministry of Forestry plan to attract more than $200 million of investments in 2011-2015 announced October, 26 Deputy Minister of Forestry Alexander Korbut.

These funds will go toward the development of harvesting, production of local fuel, modernization of wood processing equipment, development of forestry. This money, in particular, will be invested in the development of planting materials, organization of their sales to people, the creation of production of fuel wood chips, pellets, briquettes, purchase of new machinery and equipment, creation more compact plants. In the construction of plants for production of wood-chip fuel in the next five years will be invested around $40 million. The Ministry of Forestry now has more than 30 enterprises producing local fuels.

Alexander Korbut also said that the main foreign buyers for the enterprises of the Ministry of Forestry are companies from Poland, Germany, France, Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. "At the moment negotiations with Egypt and Iran on the deliveries of wood products with high added value are conducted," - said the official.

International Specialized Exhibition "Woodworking-2010" is held in Minsk on October 26-29. It is attended by over 130 companies from 14 countries.
