Belarus invites Israeli companies to Minsk High-Tech Park

Belarus has invited Israeli companies to participate in the development of the Minsk High Tech Park, Minister of Tourism of Israel Stas Misezhnikov told reporters on 21 June.

“The Belarusian Prime Minister has invited Israeli companies to open their offices in the HTP. A delegation from the Belarusian HTP has recently visited Israel. There are prerequisites for Israeli companies to open subsidiaries here,” said the Israeli official.

In his words, it is vitally important that the HTP residents enjoy certain tax exemptions. “This is right. When a company starts operating, it should be given a green light. It will pay off in future,” Stas Misezhnikov believes.

In 2010 the volume of Israeli investments in Belarus stood at $8.7 million. In January-March 2011 the Belarusian economy raised $3.7 million worth of Israeli investments, including $3 million of direct ones.
