Microsoft to open office in Belarus in April


Microsoft Corporation is eager to open an office in Belarus in April, Mikhail Makhanek, representative of Microsoft in Belarus, told reporters on 5 April.

“We have not announced the official opening of the office yet, I think it will happen in April,” Mikhail Makhanek said. According to him, Microsoft believes that the office in Belarus will help the company expand its presence in Belarus considerably. Particularly, they are eager to establish a dealer center in the country.

Microsoft Corporation is also planning to finance new IT projects in Belarus, as well as training programs for IT specialists. Moreover, there plans to sell the software produced here both in Belarus and abroad. “We will invest in the training of Belarusian specialists. We have already made such a decision. In July we will start working for the benefit of the country,” Mikhail Makhanek said.

Microsoft is going to invite specialists of the World Intellectual Property Organization to explain the importance of qualitative software for Belarusian organizations. “The transition to modern software leads to the increase in labor capacity, the improvement of service quality,” the expert stressed.

Mikhail Makhanek praised high potential of the Belarusian IT market and noted that Belarus is a very promising country for young IT specialists.
