GrodnoBioproduct launches rapeseed oil supplies to Israel

In 2012 GrodnoBioproduct launched the deliveries of table rapeseed oil to Israel, Director of the Skidel-based company Nikolai Pokholok told media on 15 March.

This is the first export delivery for the Belarusian company. “The first, 40-tonne, batch has been shipped to Israel. Another 100 tons will be sent there in the near future. 100 tons more will be delivered to Israel by the end of March,” Nikolai Pokholok noted. He stressed that the entry to the international market is a serious step which not only proves the quality of the product but also puts higher responsibility on the Belarusian producer.

“Before signing the agreement a representative of the Chief Rabbinate conducted a thorough expert analysis of the manufacturing process of the Belarusian PET-bottled rapeseed oil,” GrodnoBioproduct head noted.

The company reaches high quality of its product mainly due to the application of the latest European technologies. “We are the country’s only company that employs the technologies of cold pressing and molecular distillation,” said Svetlana Goncharuk, the company’s manufacturing manager.

Apart from this, GrodnoBioproduct has a PET-bottling line, a well-equipped laboratory and high-tech storage facilities.

Founded in 2003, GrodnoBioproduct specializes in rapeseed processing and rapeseed oil production. In 2011 the company merged with a number of its affiliated enterprises into Belarus’ first vegetable oil and fat holding company, Oil-Food. The company makes part of Belgospishcheprom and primary supplies the domestic market.
