They are of special importance for Belarus as the country plans to raise the level of the technological paradigms in these industries within five years.

According to Yuri Lukashevich, Belarus and Lithuania will provide proportionate financing of joint projects. “According to preliminary agreements, Br200 million would be funneled into the projects, however, these are not final numbers. If the involvement of scientists from both countries grows, more investments will be attracted as well,” Yuri Lukashevich stressed.

Yuri Lukashevich also said that the sessions of the Belarusian-Lithuanian Commission for Scientific and Technical Cooperation are held in compliance with the agreement on scientific cooperation, which was signed in 2008.

Belarusian scientific institutions are promoting partnership with scientific centers in many countries of the world such as Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, England, France, Austria, Germany, India, China, Cuba, Poland, etc. For instance, the National Academy of Sciences has carried out research under agreements and contracts with the development centers in 79 countries of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South and North America.
